Frequently Asked Questions

What are World Publications Awards
Digital awards for leading print and online publications from around the world. On top of that, World Publications Awards act as a space for publications to make money by having followers (fans/readers) financially supporting them.

When do the awards take place
For the inaugural 2024 World Publications Awards, there will be no physical event. The winning publication will have the trophy and cheque delivered at its offices. If the winning publication has no offices, winning money will be sent via PayPal while the trophy will be couriered to the home address of the editor or owner of the publication.

Who is eligible to vote
Anyone who is older than 16 years of age. People can vote as many times as they wish in order to financially support the publications they love.

How are the nominees picked
The nominees are picked by a committee made up of retired journalists and bloggers. But before going ahead with the nominee, each publication has to grant World Publications Awards permission to go ahead with the nomination.

How much are nominees paid
Nominees are paid US$1.00 per vote they receive no matter the country the nominee is from or where the voters are from.

When do nominees get paid
Nominees get paid their last month’s income before the 10th of next month. Example: if Forbes magazine has (had) 50 000 votes for July, before 10 August the publication will be US$50 000.
